Terms of Service

Last updated February 4, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of otp.black and the OTP number, wallet, and API services we provide. By creating an account, topping up your wallet, or leasing a number, you agree to be bound by them.

1.Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.

2.What the service does

OTP lets you lease temporary, real phone numbers to receive one-time passcodes and other verification SMS messages. Numbers are sourced from third-party upstream providers and pooled into an anonymized catalog. Exactly one price is shown per service-and-country route, and each lease is intended to receive a single verification.

We are a reseller and aggregator. We do not operate the underlying mobile networks, and the availability, delivery speed, and success rate of any given number depend on those upstream networks and on the service you are verifying with.

3.Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the service. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account or API keys. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. You agree to provide a valid email address and to keep it current so we can reach you about your account.

4.Acceptable use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only to verify accounts and flows that you are authorised to verify. You expressly agree not to use the service to:

  • Commit fraud, identity theft, or impersonation, or to create or operate accounts in another person's name without authorisation.
  • Send, facilitate, or receive spam, phishing, or any unsolicited or deceptive communications.
  • Circumvent the security, rate limits, or terms of service of any third-party platform, or to evade a ban or suspension imposed by such a platform.
  • Engage in harassment, stalking, or any activity that threatens or harms others.
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or sanctions regime, or to facilitate any illegal activity.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties except through the API under your own account and responsibility.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the anonymization of the catalog or to identify the upstream provider behind any number.

We may refuse, suspend, or reverse any activity that we reasonably believe violates this section, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities where required.

5.Wallet, pricing, and payments

The service runs on a prepaid wallet. You top the wallet up in advance and the price of each number is charged from your balance at the moment you lease it. Prices are displayed before you buy and are charged in full upfront.

  • Top-ups are accepted by card and by cryptocurrency (USDT), processed by third-party payment providers. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Balances are tracked internally with integer precision (micro-USD); no floating-point rounding is applied to your money.
  • You are responsible for any taxes, network fees, or currency-conversion costs imposed by your bank, card issuer, or blockchain network.
  • We may adjust catalog prices at any time as upstream costs change; the price shown at the moment of purchase is the price you pay.

6.Refunds

Our core promise is simple: you pay for codes you receive. If no verification message arrives on a leased number within its timeout window, the number is released and the full charge for that lease is credited back to your wallet automatically — no request needed.

  • Automatic refunds are returned to your wallet balance, not to your original card or crypto payment method.
  • Wallet top-ups themselves are generally non-refundable to the original payment method once credited, except where required by law. Unused balance stays available for future leases.
  • A lease for which a code was successfully delivered is not refundable, even if the code did not work on the destination platform for reasons outside our control.
  • For USDT top-ups, refunds to an external wallet (where offered at our discretion) are made in USDT and may be reduced by network fees.

7.Numbers are leased, not owned

Leasing a number grants you a temporary, non-exclusive right to receive messages on it for the duration of the lease. You do not own the number, you cannot port it, and there is no guarantee that a specific number will be available again. Numbers rotate through a shared pool and may be reassigned to other users after your lease ends.

8.API use

If you use the API, you must keep your API keys confidential and use your assigned idempotency keys correctly to avoid duplicate charges. We enforce rate limits to protect your balance and our infrastructure; you agree not to circumvent them. We may revoke keys that are abused, leaked, or used in violation of these terms.

9.Availability and no warranty

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that any particular number, service, or country will be available, that codes will always arrive, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Delivery depends on upstream carriers and on the third party you are verifying with, both of which are outside our control.

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OTP and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you spent on the service in the ninety (90) days before the claim, or the balance then held in your wallet.

11.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OTP and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12.Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Where an account is terminated for a serious violation of the acceptable-use section, any remaining wallet balance associated with the prohibited activity may be withheld to the extent permitted by law.

13.Third-party upstream providers

Numbers are sourced from independent upstream providers. Their performance, coverage, and continued availability are not guaranteed by us. We anonymize provider identity throughout the catalog and the buy flow, and we transmit only the service-and-country pair you select when sourcing a number — never your identity.

14.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15.Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected]. We aim to respond to all legitimate enquiries promptly.
